Our History

J. A. Whitney began 17 years ago, with a very bright idea formed by Barb Buck. She saw a store she liked so well in California, she hired the owner to become her consultant, creating a completely new and unique concept of personalized gifts in St. Louis, locating the store in Ladue, Missouri.

In 2004, Barb sold the business to Jill Stubbs and Barb Weiss, and in 2007, Christi Moses joined as a third partner. The store was moved in September 2007 to its present location in Town and Country, Missouri.

In June 2011, Jennifer Geschke and Lois Geschke purchased J. A. Whitney, and today are incredibly excited to continue the J. A. Whitney tradition!

Our goal is to listen to you, making your gift very personalized. We want to work with your ideas and budget in mind, to create a truly unique, personalized gift which reflects your taste and style. Finally, it's our goal to make it a fun and pleasurable experience for everyone!
